Our Story
A Practice Built on Family Values
Fitting for someone with a last name like Cash, I caught the entrepreneurial bug at a young age. Funny enough, I still have the same flyer from more than 30 years ago that I used to carry around my neighborhood, knocking door to door to ask if people needed help mowing lawns, weeding mulch beds, or taking care of odd jobs. In the same breath, there’s a running joke in my family that I still have my First Communion money saved.
From a young age, my parents instilled values that guide me today:
- Work hard and things will come to fruition.
- The small details do matter and can make a large difference in the long term.
- Show up for those you love and love you.
- Help people from all walks of life and never expect anything in return.
- Treat everyone with respect because you never know when your paths may cross again.
My family’s story and heritage shaped who I am today. My dad grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and had farming in his blood – his family ran Cash’s Dairy, and my firm’s logo is a tribute to him and my ancestors. My mom grew up in the great city of Buffalo from immigrant backgrounds – Italian and Polish just to name a couple. They met while working for General Mills in Chicago, and my dad went on to spend more than 35 years with the company, which ultimately brought our family to Upstate New York. My dad’s largest customer was Price Chopper, now Market 32, so as a farming family and lovers of food – it was a perfect fit. Just like this business with Cash and Cash Private Wealth.
Anyone who grew up with a farming background understands this – it’s challenging work that requires ongoing discipline, patience, and care. Those same qualities and the values my family embraced shape how I show up for my Cash Private Wealth clients today, which includes:
- Putting family first.
- Keeping things simple and clear.
- Paying close attention to detail.
- Being disciplined and process driven.
